Yoga Instructor
Nicole DeLuna
Owner and Yoga Instructor

Nicole Sklar, ERYT500 is a registered yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance. Nicole was introduced to Yoga at the age of 13, when she was diagnosed with scoliosis, an abnormal curvature of the spine. Doctors suggested beginning the practice of yoga, to decrease the need for surgery later.

Nicole attended Prescott College for Adventure Education and Cultural Anthropology with an emphasis in Latin America. She graduated in 2014.

She studied abroad in Mexico and Central America for much of her college career, and completed her first 200hour Certification Course in 2011 of Traditional Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Tantra, Vedanta, and Aryuveda Yoga Training, with Chidanandi Cherokee, in the Alpha Omega Yoga School, Nayarit, Mexico.

Nicole started to teach yoga while caring for her grandmother in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. She was influenced by the Johnny Kest power Vinyasa style, predominant in the area.

She moved to South Lake Tahoe in 2017, fell in love with the beautiful landscape, and became very involved with the yoga community there so decided to stay.

Nicole has since completed a 500hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh India, and 26&2 Training in Monterrey Mexico. She continues to teach and host retreats internationally; mostly Latin America, and is fascinated by the richness of cultures and variety of landscapes. It is her passion to share adventure, exploration, and wellbeing from the inside out.

Nicole believes that a life more fulfilled can be created with regular mindful movement, time in nature, and sharing positive experiences with others. She believes that this is an integral part of the recipe to stay connected to our innate creativity and vibrant youth. She is committed to sharing this recipe while on the forever journey of being a student, and to becoming more present, more fulfilled, and content in the one life that we have.

Today Nicole teaches a variety of yoga styles including Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Hatha Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, Meditation, and Bikram Yoga.

When Nicole is not teaching group classes, you may find her trail running or hosting wellness retreats through several inspiring towns in Mexico or the Lake Tahoe Basin.
